I earned my BA in Studio Art from California State University, East Bay, and my MFA from Northern Vermont University. My work has been shown in various venues in my native California, and as far afield as Florida, Vermont, Arizona, and Washington.

I am also a musician, composer and singer. I have recorded and written songs for my former bands The Trouts, The Tao Tones, and Dreamtown, each of which has a full length CD. I have a current CD of 11 soul-inspired original songs , and I'm always writing more.

I have taught elementary school music classes as well as being a private guitar and bass instructor. I performed opera in college and was active in local theater, acting in musicals and dramas. I enjoy writing short fiction and have finished three novel-length pieces  and many short stories.

I share my life with my lovely wife, Jan and our two little ferrets, Chloe and Smudge..
