About The Artist:
Tom's next show will be at Naked City Brewery and Taproom at 8564 Greenwood Avenue in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood. Join him for the second Friday Artwalk on June 10, 2011. The show will be up until July 7th.

Tom O'Brien earned his BA in Studio Art from California State University, East Bay, and his MFA from Johnson State College in Vermont. His work has been shown in various venues in his native California, and as far afield as Florida, Vermont, Arizona, and his current place of residence, Seattle.
Tom is also an accomplished musician, composer and singer. He has recorded and written songs for his former bands The Trouts and The Tao Tones, each of which has a full length CD. He has just recorded a seventh, solo, CD called "Where Nice Guys Finish" and is working on a joint project called "Dreamtown" with Bob Elliott. Check out, to hear some of his tunes. He has taught elementary school music classes as well as being a private guitar and bass instructor. He performed opera in college and was active in local theater, acting in many musicals and dramas. He enjoys writing short fiction and is currently working on a second novel. He works as an Art Supplies Buyer at University Book Store in Seattle, and has plans to teach college-level painting.

He lives with his lovely partner, Janice and their little dwarf bunny, Beau.
